Works in partnership to administer the Section 8 housing choice voucher program and HUD VASH for Veteran housing needs. Completes inspections, interacts with tenants/ landlords and completes paperwork/ documents all transactions

The Housing Quality Standards Inspector is responsible for evaluation housing units to ensure they meet the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) standards for safety, sanitation and livability. 

Part-time, up to 10 hours per week, flexible schedule.

Flexible Hours

CAPNM offers an alternate work schedule variation from the standard 5 day / 40-hour work schedule.
It may include a 4/9 & 4, a 4/40, or other combination. 
Start and end times can be flexible hours other than the standard 8:00 to 5:00 work day.
CAPNM’s alternate work schedule allows for a better balance of work life and home life; however, it must also result in a continuation of high-quality service to customers.

Competitive Compensation

CAPNM ensures fair and equitable pay by utilizing a 12-merit step pay grade matrix.  Merit pay step increases are considered upon completion of an At-Will 12-month probationary period, followed by an

annually evaluation for merit increase, based on placement date.  Additionally, Cost of Living Adjustment (COLA) increases are considered annually.
